End of Summer Carnival

A family in the stake hosted a carnival this week for the kids...so we went and supported it, even though it was about 100 degrees outside.  Aidyn enjoyed playing the games and winning prizes.  Her favorite was the cupcake walk....kids had to walk in a circle while the music is playing, when the music stops, they stand on a number between 1-10.  Then they draw a number from a hat, and whoever is standing on that number gets a cupcake.  Aidyn was determined to win...and after 5 times of trying, she got a cupcake (i think the host may have rigged the process because she felt so bad for her).

Beach Day

A few weeks ago it was so hot, so we decided to go to the beach.  We camped out right next to the playground, which was perfect for both Aidyn and Corrie, and we had a blast.  The beach is a lot of work and it wears everyone out, but it sure is a lot of fun.  Aidyn loved playing with her sand toys the best, and Kasen just enjoys being held and outside.  We will have to make another trip there before summer is over..

Softball

Jeff recently joined a softball team...he has played in a few games now, and is having fun.  Before his first game he wanted to go to the batting cages to "practice" before the big game.  It kind of backfired because he left with blisters all over his hands.  We stopped at Walmart on our way home to get some batting gloves...

I thought it was funny that this was Jeff's competition at the batting cages...a group of 10 year old boys and girls...

This is at one of his games...it was kind of late, past the kids bedtime, but it was still fun to go and support Jeff

Lake Skinner Splash Park

We recently visited the splash park at Lake Skinner...we all enjoyed getting wet in this hot weather we have been having.  It is a fun outing for a few hours, and we will most likely go back again.  Corrie brought her friend, and my mom enjoyed playing with Aidyn.  Kasen was there too of course, just enjoying the outdoors.
