Schlappi Reunion

We decided to make a trip to Utah for our Schlappi family reunion...my mom's family.  We stayed up in Cabins and spent a few days in Fairview, and then a day or so in the mountains.  We played softball, went to the park, did four wheeling, horseback riding, hiking, jeff did some shooting, fishing...It was a lot of fun and nice to see some of the family we haven't seen in awhile.  The kids were kind of a pain...got sick the first day we got there, but I think they had a good time too.  Here are the few pictures we did take...we were kind of busy and forgot to get out the camera.

Kasen and his second cousin (I think...my first cousin) Mariah

Yes, I am milking a goat...turns out I am not very good at it           Aidyn loved the puppies

We had a few minutes the first day we got there so we went with my parents to the Manti temple.  It was really pretty, and neat for my parents to revisit where they were married.  We didn't have a lot of time so we only did sealings, but it was a neat experience.

We joined a softball tournament, and ended up making it to the championship...lost, but we had a lot of fun.  We originally thought we would just be playing 2-3 games, but we ended up playing 6...from 8AM-3PM...long day but a lot of fun for those of us that were playing

Kasen chillin in his stroller...I love when you can see his smile through his binkie

My aunt Jen and I...she was an awesome first baseman

My cousin Travis...leaving to go to Samalia for a year next month, so it was nice to spend some time with him
 My dad

I was pretty good at hitting the ball...but it usually would go right to a player, so I always got out

 Rylee hit well too

My uncle has a chunk of land in Fairview, and they built this giant swing into the pond...Jeff really loved it

 Can you see him...?

Movie night at the Park

During the summer in Temecula they have Movie Nights at the park...we went to one last weekend.  We went with a group of friends, and had a blast. The movie was Ghostbusters, and surprisingly I had never seen it.  It was next to the duck pond, so Aidyn and I enjoyed feeding the ducks some popcorn...they liked it until the kids next to us started throwing them pat and oscars bread sticks...then they didn't like the popcorn so much.  Aidyn loved it though, and she actually sat through most of the movie, which is rare for her, because she never sits still.

Soccer

For my birthday, my mom chipped in and I joined an adult soccer league.  A friend in the stake plays and they needed another girl, so now I get to play soccer on Tuesday nights...I have only played in one game, and a few pick up events, but it has been really fun, and I am glad I decided to do it.

Pirate Times

Last month we also had a fun date night...Jeff and I went with Jeff's friend Mike and his girlfriend to Pirate Times in Anaheim.  It is similar to Medieval Times, but with Pirates.  We had appetizers while waiting for the performance to begin, then dinner and a show.  It was all really cool.  It was the first time really being away from the kids that long since Kasen was born, so it was nice to be together.  The food was really good, and the performance was fun to watch.  I don't know if I would go again...but it is definitely fun to do one time...I would recommend it...fun for kids too. I couldn't really take pictures of the actual performance, but here are some before it started.

Fam Nights in Temecula

Another great thing about Temecula...fam nights on Monday night.  The community has tried to encourage families to spend time together, so they plan activities once a month on Monday night...sounds familiar???  Anyway, this particular one was a sports night...we did frisbee, horseshoes, raced, football, bocce ball, and baseball.  It was a lot of fun to get out as a family, and also seeing other families being together and having fun.

Mom was the expert frisbee thrower...

Corrie did surprising well with baseball         And Aidyn just loved running around
I hit a few balls...further than anyone else I might add..
And Grandpa even taught Aidyn how to bat
 Grandma loved racing Aidyn
Dad racing Corrie...he ran backwards, she ran normal...I think she won barely
